I created and have maintained Wollersheim Winery’s blog for over a year. My goals have been to flesh out the existing winery brand and its mission, develop the new distillery brand, connect further with customers through education, and draw more traffic to our website.
Communicating Winery Mission
A blog is an ideal forum for a brand to expand upon its mission and give examples of carrying out that mission. Two key pieces of the winery’s mission are authenticity and connection to the local community, which these posts illustrate.
The owners of Wollersheim Winery wanted to show why their family business was expanding. When launching the new Wollersheim Distillery brand, I used the winery’s blog to tell the distillery’s story in greater detail than would be suited to social media or traditional advertising.
